  • Arrived at Spectra on time and proceeded to registration. Was asked to pay my co-insurance upfront. I showed the registration person my remaining out of pocket maximum and explained that there were 2 other claims outstanding and that if I paid the coinsurance that I would be overpaying and would end up be due a refund from one of the providers. I asked politely to just bill me for the coinsurance once the dust was settled. She spoke with her supervisor and the request was denied. While the amount of money was insignificant it's about the point that this facility will not simply bill me after insurance has paid. Looking back I should have walked out and let them explain to the surgeon and upper staff why they had their time wasted. Next time I'll choose a different facility. You should too.
