| - Normally, I stick to food reviews. However, the service & treatment I received here was incredibly horrendous and merits a review.
Before I begin, just know- DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL. DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL! DO NOT GO HERE! DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT!
My girls and I decided to take a 5 day trip to Vegas, which in itself was not the smartest idea; I recommend staying for 3 days tops. While on the trip, my roommate and I landed up in the hospital (don't judge us). Viva Las Vegas, right?
Honestly, I do not know what kind of hospital they are running here. For one, they are running some sort of scam, which I will go into detail later. Secondly, the nurses do not care about how they poke you and what treatment they administer.
The nurse who administered my IV failed to listen to me when I repeatedly told him I had weak veins and am hard to poke. He dismissed me immediately and poked me without consideration. My hand bruised and swelled. Um, thanks.
After being discharged we were asked to fax our medical insurance information.My roommate and I both did this; I even called to give them my information. However, they "lost it" and sent me a bill for $765. Two weeks after giving them my information I got a strange call asking for my medical insurance from a separate wing of the hospital. I immediately knew it was a scam and the guy refused to bother me when i inquired further. My roommate also received this strange phone call and had to get a new medical insurance # because it was indeed a SCAM. What kind of hospital allows private information to leak this easily?
After receiving the bill for $765, i called the hospital and was enraged. While on the phone they kept insisting I give them my parent's SSN's, which is something the original bill person never asked me for. I refused to give them this info because they did not even need it and the woman on the other line didn't press me for it when she could see how outraged I was by such a ridiculous question. She told me they would bill my dad's insurance then send me a new bill for what was not covered and I would have to call back for a THIRD TIME to give them my mom's insurance information for a THIRD TIME. HOW RIDICULOUS IS THAT!?! WHY WOULD YOU NOT JUST SEND THE REMAINDER AUTOMATICALLY TO MY MOM'S SINCE I JUST GAVE IT TO YOU ?!
UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It has been over a month since my visit there and I am still dealing with this situation.
I cannot believe the scams they are trying to pull. Honestly, this place should be sued. The staff and facility are completely incompetent.
