  • I love this library. LOVE. However, I have to subtract a star for lack of open computers on all floors. It's like myspace hell here. And there's always at least 2 computers in disrepair on each floor. Last year I came to campus for one of my last finals and the NIGHT BEFORE my professor changed our final time/room, but only on WebCampus. Do you really think I'm going to check that shit? I noticed a lot of other confused people from my class walking around campus like, "OMG - I'm going to fail. Was there something I missed?" No one on campus knew. Her office was closed. The Anthro department said it showed the same room/time. I ran to the library to check my WebCampus...to find that there were NO EMPTY computers. Hardly anyone was doing anything productive. I just noticed person after person on MySpace. I wanted to shoot people. And the elevator was taking forever. I believe we have the 2nd largest electronic database (whatever that crazy machine is that grabs archives with some robotic arm). I don't use it, so I don't know. Sounds awesome, though. Another negative is that someone can't keep track of books. They accused me of still having 2 books, when I drove to campus on a day I didn't even have class to make sure I returned them properly. But I will say...5 stories of heaven. I read books in one sitting here on the top floor while looking down at the people passing by. Veeeeery nice.
