Never filed a Yelp review before.I have been to midnight diner countless times. I called in an order late one Saturday night, knowing that they would probably be very busy. I showed up and, as according to their policy, waited outside for my order to be ready, accompanied by two police who were guarding the door. After a good bit of time passed, I tried to speak to the host desk about the progress of my order, only to be very aggressively denied access by one of the police. Time comes and several thwarted attempts at speaking with an employee of the business come and go(gotta love cops) and I have been standing outside for forty five minutes waiting for a to go order that I was quoted ten on. Finally a more reasonable police officer offers to find a manager for me, amanager comes outside and inquires about people waiting for Togo food. My food had been ready for twenty minutes and I had been unable to access it and even unable to access an employee to ask about it because of one of the hired police officers guarding the door like a bridge troll. The food and the service are always good here and the management was very gracious in this particular instance. I just hope going forward that they scrutinize a bit more about what type of security they hire.
PS my food, upon receiving it after this whole ordeal, was still delicious.
