We've been to the other locations before and it never ceases to impress or satisfy our hunger. We decided to try the Henderson location this time around.
Definitely was not disappointed. If you're familiar with the other locations, it's the same menu besides the specialty drinks. Started off with the cup o bread. One of my personal favorites. With a hint of cinnamon it's definitely reminiscent of a homemade cinnamon roll with a sweet and slightly tart and tangy icing that goes perfectly with it. Also started off with a single biscuit. This is where it goes from five stars to four. Biscuit seemed a little W. Not as crisp and as flaky as I remember it from the other locations.
I want to hadn't had the biscuits and gravy with two eggs and hash brown. Grady is very rich, chunks of sausage and I believe him add a decadent taste to the silkiness. I couldn't tell if these biscuits were not as flaky as the one I had previous because it was drowned in the savory gravy. Two eggs over medium cooked perfectly and hashbrowns golden perfection and of course the green onions inside the hashbrowns always add the extra kick. Gave this is Danny five out of five. I added the side of bacon to give it a little bit more of that salty savory taste.
We also had the chilaquilles and went to head and splurged and got the steak at it with it. Basic chips over beans covered in red sauce and we have the eggs scrambled. The sauce poured over the tortilla chips is a simple red sauce, very reminiscent of an enchilada sauce. The beans at the bottom were a bit overcooked and dry. The steak was cooked medium as requested and had a very simplistic salt and pepper taste to it which we love.
Had the French press coffee for a stronger coffee taste. 5.95 for a press that served about a cup and a half each for 2 people.
This location is a tad bit small so you tend to hear everything that goes on. There was a Chef or a cook in the open area where the runners and servers go to pick up the food who we could hear on the phone. Not very professional especially when you're using profanity. But other than that Maria, our server was top notch and make sure we were plenty well taken care of.
