Anyone who goes with me on a trip to Vegas is mortified when we first approach the Ellis Island casino/super 8 motel with the intention of having a meal. Most of my friends probably thought I was taking them there as a joke, but I can honestly say that I do not have a single friend who, after having a huge breakfast at Ellis Island, does not want to go back there every single time they are in Vegas! All the breakfast items are excellent - the ham steak is bigger than a grown man's head (as are the pancakes). I recommend getting an omelet and some french toast. The prices are so cheap you can order a few things and eat what you want. Their dinner salad is also delicious - I dream about the ranch dressing! I have mixed feelings about most of their non-steak special dinner items. Their dinner cobb salad (when offered) is delicious, but all the other dinner items I've ordered (pasta, chicken sandwich, battered fish) haven't been as tasty as I'd hoped relative to the divinity of their breakfast items. Note - they stopped serving breakfast 24 hours, but there are a few breakfast items that they will make outside of breakfast hours (like the chicken fried steak with eggs). Overall it's a great place to eat breakfast, and if you like steak, a great place to get a cheap but (supposedly - according to my friends who eat beef) delicious steak and fresh green beans.
On weekends, breakfast til 2pm. Weekdays til 11am.
