| - Coming here today ruined an otherwise amazing family day.
It's so grimy. You can tell that they don't clean the place as soon as you walk inside; the stench is horrible. Not only is the glass on the aquariums/terrariums inside and out, but the water is gray/dingy/murky, and there are multiple dead fish - floating and sunken - as well.
The information on the animals leaves much to be desired, and the animals that aren't dead look like they are dying. Maybe that's why half of their 'exhibits' are 'closed for maintenance.'
There is not enough of a pathway to get by someone standing and looking at an exhibit in more than one area.
We bought 5 tokens at $2.50 each to feed the fish, birds, etc. The only place it was clear that we had an opportunity to use the tokens for that was with the birds, but there was no one 'manning' the 20+ people long line and no clear information was posted about it. So we have 5 unused tokens still, and although I'm disappointed for having paid for them, my child didn't even take notice that he was missing out on anything. Wish I could get my money back, but they have a no refund policy, even though I had my receipt and only bought them 30 minutes before. Guess I'll have to try to sell them to some other poor soul that's stuck trying out this place.
We spent no more than 40 minutes there. Too bad we prepurchased our tickets online, otherwise we wouldn't have gone in at all. Wish I could call this a 'poor man's Shark Reef,' but the tickets are just as expensive.
Do yourself a favor - spend your money and time elsewhere. You're wasting it if you go to Seaquest.
UPDATE
SeaQuest Banned Me from their Facebook page about 10 minutes or so after I posted this review. Note the lack of personal attacks, profanity, etc.
