| - Daniel B. pretty much summed up how I feel about my Porter Airlines experiences in the last year or so (I also arrived home late last night after a delay in the New Jersey airport). The only thing I can't blame on Porter is assholes in the seat next to me. They seem to find me everywhere, especially on the TTC.
Why couldn't the airline just be my friend and let me go on the earlier flights so that I could have flown home earlier??? The 4pm and 6:30pm out of Newark were both not full and my conference ended early, so I was already at the airport at 2:30pm. I could only get on if I paid the $150 fee. I didn't pay it and the staff at the counter were so rude!
So I waited at that fakukta NJ airport for the 8pm flight, only to have it delayed...getting home last night after 11pm was not cool Porter!!! And I'd also like to mention that on the way there, the lounge in Toronto had absolutely no food or snacks that were complementary. Apparently, I was taking a flight that was "in between snack hours" as one employee put it, and that the lounge snacks would be replenished after my flight was scheduled to leave (it was delayed, but still no snacks). I could only buy an $11 sandwich with 58 grams of fat in it. They even ran out of cup and saucers if you wanted coffee.
And what's the deal with your security people saying I don't have to show my passport when I am going to the States? Almost every time I have flown this airline, when I go to get out my ID along with my boarding pass I get told that it's ok because I look like a trustworthy person. Should I feel safe?
So Porter, you may be conveniently close to my home, but I am seriously reconsidering other airlines over you, even though you have comfortable lounge seats.
