First, this is a motel. There were only exterior door rooms. I was shipped here after a flight cancellation. The front desk staff was friendly, until I requested someone to walk me to my room. Let me clarify that my room was on the backside of the building on the 3rd floor, adjacent to a dark parking lot. I got to my room, and it just got worse. The room was seriously awful. The linens looked threadbare, the lampshade had a hole in it, there were stains on the walls and ceilings. I couldn't get my door's deadbolt to lock well. Overall, I did not feel safe or sanitary in this room. I decided to call for the shuttle back to the airport and get a different hotel on my own. When I requested the shuttle service, they asked why I needed it. I told them simply I did not feel comfortable or safe. The nice gentleman from the desk did come to escort me back down to the lobby. On the way, I am pretty confident I saw a prostitute in the parking lot and there was a heavy odor of marijuana coming from the room next to mine. The gentleman acknowledged he smelled it too. I escaped this hotel without incident thankfully. The airlines should be ashamed of themselves for sending their displaced passengers to these garbage accommodations.
