| - ok the good things first, it is in the middle of the city!
thats about it...
somebody told me that this is the biggest hotel in Canada, well then, it has a huge waterslide also you can rent for birthday parties...
the hotel itself is not bad, a little worn for sure but ok for the price.
it is noisy like hell though, insane, construction noise from the outside and then people noise in the hallways, i was there for 4 days and 3 of the nights were almost impossible to sleep, TEENAGERS did what they do in hotels, they run between their rooms and it sounds like a herd of bisons, they knock on doors , they tell each other things in voices that sound like thunder, and they laugh and laugh and laugh... don't get me wrong i understand i probably did the same thing, but does it have to be next to my room for 3!!! freaking nights?
the lobby is literally like a train stations, at check out time be prepared to be in line for at least 20 minutes( even if your room key just stopped working for no reason at all, like it happened to me) .
there is a business center with several computers and a printer but you have to pay for using it( i went to fed ex down the road, at least i know they work)
there are elevators that are color coded so your green elevator goes where you want to go , don't you use a different color...
i didnt look at the waterslide but was in the area, also loud, screaming kids( this time younger) all over the place, thats ok, its a waterslide, but hold on , the coin laundry is there also , in the ladies dressing room, i found that odd, how do man do laundry, they just don't? i had a hard time finding the laundry also, so i had to go down to the front desk( waited only 5 minutes for my question to be answered) she told me its on the second floor, well i did know that, but there was no sign for washing machines in the ladies room...
i didnt try the restaurant , there is too much good food around , i did get a bottle of water( 3.25$) from the fresh market, they have all kinds of stuff and its like a cantina.
housekeeping did not do a very nice job, they made the beds, never got rid of the pigeon poo on the balcony and constantly forgot to refill coffee cups.
if i have the chance i will go back , if not , i m not going to miss anything...
