Very enjoyable meal. Salads to start. My daughter had the Caesar salad and I had the house mixed salad. Both of us were quite hungry. Both salads were finished in no time. For entrees, we ordered the Costeletta and the unlimited pasta trio. My daughter was totally thrilled with the pasta trio. Tonight's trio was composed of 4 cheese ravioli, farfalle with pesto and tagliatelle bolognese. That combo hit all the right flavor notes for my daughter. The big pork chop was flavorful. It was a good size and well prepared. We finished with 2 desserts. A Tiramisu and the gelato & sorbetto trio. Both tasted excellent. My one disappointment was the size of the 3 gelato & sorbetto scoops. They seemed a little too nouvelle cuisine portioned for the $9 price.
The service seemed to require a tune-up. I had to flag down a server to get a knife for my Costeletta. My knife was cleared away with the salad plates and never replaced. While waiting to catch a servers attention, I finished half of the vegetables on my plate. Also, when our dessert came out, the server seemed to be lost trying to find the correct table. Not being certain whether he had our dessert, I volunteered an "is that our Tiramisu and Gelato." It was.
I've been to Lidia's NY restaurants and their service has always been attentive and flawless. I've been to both Becca and Felidia more than once. This is my first visit to this location. I may have just hit a bump on a busy Saturday night.
