I am baffled by the amount of good reviews this place has. I came to Thai Cottage for dinner this weekend as a "second chance" after my first experience was sub-par a few months ago.
I ordered the see ew and it tasted burnt and had no flavor and minimal spice, despite the fact that I asked for a spice level 10. Noodles were cooked perfectly, but the flavor was nonexistent. My first experience yielded tasteless pad thai and I was hopeful that was an off day, but I was disappointed again. There are MUCH better Thai restaurants in the Pittsburgh area. This one is permanently off my list--try Thai Terrace (nearby) instead.
