  • We went to Forge Pizza in Phoenix. Waited 20 minutes for someone to approach our table initially. We ordered a starter, a salad to split, a pizza and a dessert. We waited 47 minutes. No starter arrived. We were just about to ask why it was taking so long for an appetizer when the Manager came up to us and told us they were "short staffed" and he apologized no one came to greet us and we had to wait so long for our food. A minute later our salad came out to split. I flagged the manager back down and told him we had ordered a hot appetizer. Within one minute the appetizer arrived. Now we had our cold salad and our hot appetizer served to us at the same time. My husband and I looked at each other. Really, after waiting almost an hour you mean we are not going to get served properly? Then, one minute later our pizza arrived. What a mess. We were still eating our pizza when the dessert came. This was no becoming nonsense. First, we could not get anything to eat or drink, then our nice leisurely course-by-course meal we ordered comes out all within five minutes of each other? What do you do, skip the starter you looked forward to, paid for, and was going to enjoy with our beer, or skip it. We skipped it. The salad was pushed aside so we could eat our pizza while it was hot. Forget eating the doughnut holes while they were hot. We had to sacrifice something for the "main course" and the reason we had gone to Forge Pizza in the first place. So, we thought, well, let's see what the manager does on our bill such the entire evening was such a mess. You guessed it, absolutely nothing. Did not even comp us for the starter we did not eat or the dessert we did not have a chance to enjoy as they should be eaten. It was nice John came to our table to explain the problems, but why should we have to pay for items which the waiter and John clearly saw we could not eat or enjoy under the circumstances? We would not return.
