I really like this place. Ive been coming here regularly for about 6 months. Vince does my nails and I usually just go to whomever for a pedicure. I prefer Vanessa for my pedi when she is available.
My situation: i have VERY short/thin fingernail beds. My nails grow upward from years of biting, & my fingers are fat with deep set nails (that means my cuticles grow over the nails especially on the sides).
I like my nails to elongate my fingers making them look slender. I like the nails to be thin or a natural thickness. And Of course I like them to look like they are growing straight, not upward. Basically the opposite of the nails I was born with!
With ALL of that being said, it takes a very special nail tech/stylist to transform my nails into something beautiful. Vince has not let me down once! He is a true professional and his motto is "whatever you want." His philosophy is "learn to do everything so you dont have to ask favors or worry when a new client walks in the door." He works quickly yet efficiently and will not hesitate to offer a professional opinion, when asked.
The salon itself is very peaceful, located in a newly developed are or N.LV. The clientele is made of mostly regulars and a few new faces. They have a great selection of regular colors as well as gel colors. I know that Lisa is the go to manicurist but Ive seen beautiful full sets that she's done as well.
The Cons- The wait/seating area. Their awesome work brings in ppl from all over, so being serviced without an appointment will have you waiting for at least 30mins. And the waiting area isn't very big, so they often ask ppl to come back or make an appointment for a later time.
Also, if you make an appointment you may have to wait an additional 5-10mins. But it is well worth it, in my opinion.
The good news is, its not difficult to make an appointment. I called on Wed for a Saturday appt. & got in with no problem.
