  • We almost dined at Lola's last year during our trip. I had read the rave reviews on Yelp and wanted to try some Louisiana food so I could compare it to what I'm used to as I lived in New Orleans for over 10 years. But as you're driving from the outlet mall towards Lola's, it's hard to tell if they are even open. This time we decided to take our chances and drive over there. The parking lot is actually on the side of the building and difficult to see from the street. I'm so glad we made it to Lola's! We started out with the tasty crab and artichoke dip served with garlic bread. I have to give a shout out to the bread also. It was delicious. We also had the Cajun wings which were good but not overwhelmingly so. For my entrée, I had the bronzed shrimp and grits. One reason I decided to try this dish is because the shrimp is served over gouda grits. An andouille sausage and mushroom ragout is drizzled around the outside of the dish. I really enjoyed this entrée. The only thing is that the next time I will have the ragout omitted. Everyone else said the sauce was fine but it wasn't my preference. The customer service is A+. Thanks to our waitress for answering our numerous questions and making suggestions on how to "customize" some of our entrees. We enjoyed Lola's so much that my friends insisted we come again two days later. Our second visit to Lola's was on the last day of our trip. This time I had a half fried shrimp and half fried oyster po-boy with a side of gouda grits and coleslaw. Everything was great. No complaints from any of us. Definitely add Lola's to your list of must try Las Vegas restaurants.
