so it is really funny my hubby found this relatively shady place a big block away fromthe strip, hoping there wouldn't be a line, to find out there is a long queue worth 90minutes . as starving non-gamblers, we were unsure what to do in that old casino... we went over to the smoking lounge/bar and ordered from the dinner menu and was able to order within 5mins, yay!
we ordered the king cut prime rib with baked potato and Caesar salad/soup. the portion was BIG! loved our plates and couldn't finished it. didn't try the complimentary beer cos we have low alcohol tolerance and didn't walk back with low alertness in that neighborhood. rating the food, it is definitely 5 stars. BTW, we sat next to an Elvis (fan?). people seem to notice him and talk to him a lot, but I am not familiar with the Vegas entertainment industry to know if he was a performer.
1 star less due to the ambiance and scary neighborhood. bottom line is, if u r in Vegas during the holidays and want to avoid long lines, go there and eat in the bar. ;)
