  • Living in Vegas, you very rarely get grade A customer service, but Appliance Parts Center hit the nail on the head! A few years ago (2013), I came in for a lid switch for my washer:I remember them being quick, helpful and understanding, and I was able to make this repair myself. In May of this year, the switch had died again, but I knew exactly where to go and what to buy this time, which should've made things easier, but alas, for me, things could've gone a little less smooth if it weren't for their great service: I went in for a new switch on May 30th, 2015. Service was flawless and I made the repair again myself, however, a little over a month later, I came to find the lid switch broken yet again! The first one had lasted 2 years but this one barely made it two months. I had assumed I had thrown out the receipt, so when I went in to purchase a new one, I just mentioned all this hoping they might have the proof of purchase as well. They stated that since I did not have the receipt, they could not honor their 90 day warranty (they seemed as disappointed as I was), but that they could offer 10% off my current purchase. I was more than happy with this compromise as I was the one who did not have the receipt and I was still getting a discount. I left very happy and went home to complete the repair. Well, guess what I found when I got home? The original receipt! So I headed back less than a week later, with the old part that had pooped out after 2 months, and both the receipts: The one for the original item's price ($32), and the one for the new item with the discount ($29). At the store, I honestly explained the situation, and at the end said, "I understand if you can only give me a refund for the discounted purchase instead of the original." As they were totally justified in refunding the amount that was discounted rather than the original purchase. Instead, they opted to give me a full refund for the original price and left the discount as is. I was stunned! The whole staff was very accommodating but Don made the call regarding my purchase to just refund the whole thing. It is nice to finally go somewhere I know I'll get good service, especially when it's a DIY situation! Thanks again, guys!
