  • Over the coarse of Friday and Saturday I did a fair bit of walking around downtown ( about 6 miles) check out some of the recommended record stores looking for specif stuff. Most of them didn't have anything I wanted or were way too expensive. Then I made my stop at Sonic Boom. I visited both locations, Friday was the Bathurst location then Saturday I visited both. I would give the Bathurst a **** review but this is about the Kesnsington location. Yes it may be smaller then the location up on Bathurst but don't let that fool you, they had more of what I was looking for, and a few things I wasn't expecting. The problem with new vinyl is that because it's now "trendy" it's expensive, but that's the record componies fault, not the stores, but SB's prices on used vinyl is very reasonable. The staff there 1/11/14 was very friendly and helpful and knowledgeable, they made it an experience and they made you feel welcome. I think from now on the two SB locations are gonna be my go to places, and everywhere else will be a second consideration. Thanks!
