  • XS is my favorite nightclub in Vegas. Located in the new Wynn extension, Encore, the club defines "excess" to the fullest. I'm talkin' at least 40 tables, 15 dancing poles, 6 go-go dancers, 3 fully-stocked bars, and an even ratio of hot staff--one guy, one girl per table to cater your every need. Now, if you know me, you know that Steve Wynn is my hero. The Wynn is by far my favorite hotel in Vegas; the architecture, décor, atmosphere, dining, boutiques, pool, day/nightlife--the full package. And the Wynn nightclub, Tryst, is unbelievably cool. I mean...to have a damn WATERFALL up in the club? You can't get more excessive than that. Apparently, Steve Wynn can. XS doesn't have a waterfall, but it does offer a massive outdoor patio area. Complete with a mote-like pool, cabanas, and a gambling section! It was freezing the night we went, so no pool action. Given how cold it was, I felt for the dealers stuck outside, but they were in cute weather-appropriate snow bunny outfits, so that was good. Back inside, the spacious dance floor was filled to the rim. The music was Top 40's as expected, mashed up with a little house/dance/techno. Normally I'm put off by Vegas go-go dancers (more strip club than nightclub), but these dancers were naturally pretty and fit girls, with matching outfits that I wouldn't mind wearing myself. I'll definitely be back in the summertime, as I foresee tons of mischief going on in their outdoor pool. Watch out, Rehab/Tao Beach/Palms.
