YELP 100 -- 1/100
This place was better than I expected. I've driven past South Point every time I've gone to Las Vegas, staying there was never even an option to me since it's so far from the strip, however it became my safe haven when my return flight to LA was cancelled.
After a hellacious experience with American Airlines, a room for every inconvenienced passenger was provided. I stayed in non smoking king room and I was surprised right away. The rooms are VERY LARGE! There's just not enough furniture in them to fill the space. The bed was nice and plush, bathroom well decorated and I've never been so happy to see a coffee maker (which was a little dusty so I ran a cleaning cycle)!
After getting myself situated i visited the cafe downstairs to use my meal voucher. They had a pretty big menu. When I arrived they were offering "late night specials" like steak and eggs for $4.95 .. I ordered 2 cheeseburgers (don't judge me) at $3.95/each and it came with all the toppings and a nice amount of fries. Careful though! They do not "allow to go orders" but you can sit down, order something and then ask for a box ... you're welcome.
For the 420 friendly, get your blunts before you get here. They charge you $8 for a box of stale swishers with wooden tips .. who even needs those?!
