| - We were walking through the Miracle Mile Shops and saw the shop and decided to check it out. There was a piercing I had been wanting for awhile but they were asking way too much at a shop back home so I decided to find out what they would charge. They were asking much less so I went for it. While I got my piercings, my husband had our daughter's name tattooed.
The piercer's name is Headrick and he was great. Really funny, very friendly. He had quoted me a price when I showed him a picture of the piercings I wanted and when I went to pay, the lady at the counter wrote down a higher amount (but only by $15). I didn't really care so I left it alone. What he did next is what made me write this review. Although the actual price for the 3 piercings I was getting was supposed to be what the lady was charging, Headrick immediately stopped her and told her that he had quoted me a different price and that's what she needed to charge me. What had happened is he didn't add everything up correctly so he was off on his pricing but because he had told me that price, he honored it, WITHOUT ME HAVING TO SAY A THING! The piercings went smoothly and he even gave me longer bars and extra gems in case I wanted/needed to change them out. All around, very good experience!
Now the tattoo artist was another story. I don't remember his name but he's a bald Caucasian guy. He didn't look happy to be there AT ALL. When my husband showed me the size of the tattoo, I asked if he could make it smaller so it could match the size of our other daughter's tattoo. He kind of got an attitude and said he can't go much smaller and walked off obviously peeved. He did make it a little smaller for us though. He was not talkative at all, and he made us feel like we inconvenienced him asking for a tattoo. Maybe it was because it was lettering and they're tedious to do but he was just not the friendly type which made for an awkward 30 minutes. He also charged entirely too much for a 6-letter name that was small enough to fit on his wrist. $150!! He did a great job with the tattoo however.
So, Headrick was awesome. The tattoo artist, not so much. So 3 stars it is!
