  • My second time visiting this place and again, a great experience. Very nice small place located in a strip mall in North Las Vegas. Somewhat unassuming and far from a 'hole in the wall'. I stopped in for lunch with a couple of coworkers who told me to yelp us a place. The service was awesome just like it was last time. The food is made to order so it comes out absolutely piping hot. With that said, you will wait a few extra minutes for the freshness. The service was great. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. We went in after the lunch hours so it was not very busy. They have about a dozen different lunch specials right at $10 or so. I went with the fried chicken and it was very good. If I'm being completely honest, not the best fried chicken I've ever tasted but it was still very very good. And it being so fresh is a definite added bonus. The candied yams are phenomenal. The yams are few in number so I was glad it had 2 sides. I also got the collard greens and they were very tasty. They give you a complimentary piece of cornbread as an appetizer and it's super tasty as well. If you haven't been- go here. It's voted the best soul food in the valley and you'll see why.
