| - I love the Henderson area. It's clean, the homes are nice, and you have everything that you need in the area, more or less. I feel like Henderson is more family-oriented and has a lot more to offer both families and single people. There are plenty of grocery stores, all kinds of banks and credit unions represented, malls and shopping centers, fitness centers, and coffee shops, restaurants, etc.
I guess you'd consider this a suburb of Las Vegas, but it's definitely one I'd live in. It's located far enough from the chaos on the strip, but close enough to drive over and enjoy it. Nothing in Vegas is exactly far, but the traffic makes it feel like is, so that can be a little daunting. Overall, we never had any issues when we had our vacation home out here, though it was in a gated community, which I think made the experience even easier. There's also less riffraff and homeless on the streets of Henderson. I see it more closer to the strip.
