| - For those of you who own mechanical or automatic watches, you probably know how hard it is to find a watch repair shop where the repairman is both honest and knows what he's doing. I've had a hell of a time in this city -- the norm seems to be people with sub-standard skills who make you feel like you're getting fleeced.
That's why I was delighted to find Suntime. I took a risk with a Swiss movement watch I had that was running fast, but it quickly became clear to me that Fawaz knew his stuff and would do a good job. I just picked my watch up today, so I'll update this review if there are any issues, but so far it seems that he did great work. I also feel reassured that he told me to come in if I had any issues and he would set them right.
I spent more than I hoped to, but I think I was being unrealistic and, after a bit of research, feel that I was charged a fair price. And the work was so quick --- I brought it in at 12:30 and it was done at 1:30, and not for a small.
This place is a bit hard to find -- it's in a gallery of booths at 21 Dundas Square, which houses a bunch of different stands, mostly jewelers. Shame it's not better marked, everyone there would probably get a lot more business.
Anyway, I'll definitely be going back.
