  • I stopped in here finally after going to Trader Joe's like a thousand times right next to it. It was just me and I wanted something new for breakfast. I heard rave things from people so I figured why not? When I go places, often times I try to get what is their specialty. So I asked my super nice server and without hesitation was told the benedicts. After about 2 seconds of deliberation I was sold on the Black Mountain Benny. I figured this would make or break this place. 1- this entrĂ©e has brisket, which I am CRAZY picky about. 2- hollandaise sauce....I make my own, and have rarely found restaurants that even make tolerable hollandaise. Double whammy of possible major letdown. Letdown, I was not. The reason I am picky about my brisket it fat globs. Umm yuck. This was glob free and must have hit the pan for a bit with the onions because it has a caramelized taste to it. Yum. Hollandaise, was good. NOT as good as my own (I like a tad bit of lemony tang) but MUCH MUCH MUCH better than anywhere I have found thus far. It was real. Not mix that tastes like chicken broth with a flavorless mayo base. Is this a fancy place? NOPE. Is it delicious? YEP. Will I be back for more? HELLS YES. Fantastic service. good food. and next to Trader Joes...what more could you want?
