  • I am not a regular guest here, this is maybe my second or 3rd visit, ever. I wanted to go to Texas Roadhouse because I just was craving a steak. My son was my date yesterday, and he didn't want TRH. So, we decided to do something different, and this got the approval because he has geocached nearby. (LOL) We came early, around 3pm. Seated immediately and the dining area wasn't busy. The bar area was because of the football games. I started with a strawberry margarita- it was ok. Nothing special. I ordered the Sirloin steak, cooked medium, with cilantro lime rice for 20 bucks. My kid got kids meal stuff. Hard to mess up. My steak came out and was not what I ordered. It was a thin skirt steak folded in half, cooked well done. I let the waiter know I would keep it since we were in a time crunch to see a movie, but that it was incorrect. He offered to replace it but it really was ok with me to keep it. Moments later a manager came over to check as well. He confirmed it was not even the right cut. I reassure them its fine because really, mistakes do happen. They comped the entrée, which was very nice and even offered a free dessert. We were full, so we declined the dessert, and I tipped my waiter the cost of the steak entrée. I probably wont return, not for any reason other than I'm not overwhelmed with excitement at the menu anyway, and I try to check out different spots. However, I think that despite an error, the staff and management were superb in the follow up and damage control. Even being incorrect, the food was good and the service was great!
