  • There are a LOT of places you can choose to do paint parties in Las Vegas. Pinot's Palette, Design & Dine, etc. I chose this location, even though it was way out of the way, because we had a seven-year-old with us and many of the other paint places don't allow children. That's also the only reason I would ever come back here. We made an appointment and popped in on a Sunday afternoon. We were told to choose whatever paintings we wanted and that the teacher would show us how to paint it. The four of us all chose the same painting (to make it easier for the teacher). Before starting, she made it clear that she didn't work for the store, she couldn't take our payment, and that she'd appreciate tips. Ummm....okay? By the time we left, she would have mentioned this no less than 4 times. So weird. Usually, at these places, the teacher stands in the front so everyone can see how to paint, but in this case, she stood only at one person's canvas (the 7yo that was with us) and literally painted on her canvas. Wait, what? Because of how she had seated us, the rest of us couldn't see what she was doing and had to kind of guess. Every time we asked a question, she had this weird passive aggressive attitude. When I asked for more white paint, she said, "clearly you still have some on your plate, but if you feel like you need more, I guess that's fine." WHAT?? All the while, her sister in law was there doing a painting, and she spent the majority of time with her working on her painting rather than answering our questions. As we finished up, she took time to wrap her sister-in-law's painting up so that no paint got in her car. When the little girl in our group asked for the same, she said "Oh she's driving my brother's car and it's VERY EXPENSIVE. We don't usually wrap paintings." She then proceeded to offer to wrap hers, but again in this weird passive aggressive way, like we were making her life so difficult. Long story short - there are better places to get your paint on. But, if you have kids, this is one of only a few options.
