  • I bought a new 2017 Ford Escape on November 5, and here we are on December 4, and my car has already been in the shop for a week. The engine has no compression and I'm being told I probably still won't have a car by Christmas. When the car broke down- with only 1300 miles on it- we were in the middle of the desert and I was stranded for several hours with 2 babies on the side of the highway. The managers were very unsympathetic and basically said "these things happen, what do you want us to do about it?" The car I traded in had 200,000 miles on it and never once went to the shop, these things DON'T just happen. I tried to be in contact with the manager, Steve, who spoke with me once and essentially accused me of causing the engine failure myself (I believe his words were, "we've never had a problem with these cars, that sounds reeeeeeeally fishy to me, I'm curious to know what REALLY happened..."). I've since called him 4 times and he neither takes my calls or returns them. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a running car for more than 3 weeks after a $30k purchase. I have incredible buyers remorse, I feel sick about this. I get that sometimes things can go wrong- but if things do go wrong, don't expect this dealer to even attempt to make things right. Buyer beware. UPDATE: my car has now been in the shop for 4 weeks. No end in sight. Manager Steve promised me a new car shortly after I made this review, when I went to look at cars they actually tried to upsell me on a higher model, then told me a week later that because the title had already been issued, we can't do that anymore. I asked instead for the extended warranty since I'm now terrified to drive this damn car, and was told they'd knock a couple hundred bucks off the price. Frankly that insulted me, after this nightmare, covering a warranty for a shit car that's already falling apart is the LEAST they could do. I'm absolutely sick to my stomach about my decision to come here, and frankly about my decision to buy a Ford. Just go ANYWHERE else. UPDATE #2: Update- it just gets worse and worse with this place. Manager Steve told me they'd register my car for my troubles, my car is finally out of the shop today and guess who completely flaked out on getting the registration done. I'm now driving around with a car with expired tags. If you're wanting to have a nervous breakdown from massive incompetency, then by all means, shop here.
