| - My experience was bizarre (in a bad way). The first day I came, Margarett Keffer (very friendly, and accommodating) showed me a Hyundai Sonata Sport, Black on Black which I didn't like but it had leather seats and they offered a great deal. I later called and asked if they had the same model in different colors which Margarett Confirmed. When I came back however, Margarett was not available (even though I called one day prior to confirm that she would be) and instead I was met by Chris, who seemed nice enough but was a self-proclaimed "no bs, numbers guy". Which set off red flags, as it does when anyone has to tell you what kind of person they are. I asked to see the one that Margarett had set aside for me to check out, and he brought a different car forward (the first one was key entry and this one was keyless for starters). When I asked if they were the same cars, he insured me that they were. So I showed him the initial offer that I had Margarett print, and he ran to the back and returned and said it was an offer for the base model (which was not true, that month the base model was leasing for 199, and her special offer was 224. Considering the fact that they hadn't run my credit, there's no reason my "special offer" should be more expensive than the one they're giving to everybody). When I asked him to call Margarett and make sure, he left the table to do so, and then returned and insured me that indeed everything he was saying was correct. When I asked him about the Black on black car, he reassured me they were the same car and ultimately changed the subject. Overall, they got me into this car that I didn't need for far more than the one I wanted and I still feel cheated. I get a bad taste in my mouth every time I have to drive it. It was my fault because I wanted a Hyundai and there aren't a ton of Hyundai dealerships nearby, but if you find yourself having to choose between working with these folks and abandoning plans to get a Hyundai Sonata, ditch the car, it's pretty gimmicky.
I did have fairly light credit and they worked with me, which I appreciated, but they had to if they wanted the sale. Going forward I will do anything and everything in my power to not return to this dealership and perhaps not return to Hyundai in general.
