  • Debated between Aria or Palazzo... & we're sure glad we chose Palazzo! Our stay was booked for Monday-Thursday. Upon arrival, we really liked how convenient the self-parking garage was; there were 2 escalators that we saw from where we parked (one said "front desk" - self-explanatory...the other said "casino" - also self-explanatory -- however, the "casino" escalator takes you up to where the Sportsbook desk is, a little closer to the guest room elevators. Around 3:30pm on a Monday, the check-in line was about 4 parties long. We were helped by one of the managers, Linda, who was extremely friendly and made quite a first impression for the resort right off the bat. The only hiccup was that there wasn't a King Suite on a non-smoking floor available at the time of our check-in, but she quickly offered us a Bella Suite (2 queen beds) for no extra charge. Not a big deal, so we took it. The suite was one of the last rooms in the hall on the 44th floor. Surprisingly, the walk from the elevator to the end of the hall wasn't that long. The room was everything we dreamed of and more. You definitely get more for your money here compared to the Aria. Yes, Aria is a little newer, but the convenience and luxuriousness of the Palazzo trumps it in my opinion. We had nothing to complain about during our stay - the room was clean and comfortable. We had great experiences with room service both times we ordered breakfast with them. Eggs over easy were cooked perfectly, bacon was crispy (the way it should be!), wheat toast came with butter on the side, and house potatoes were seasoned well. Coffee and orange juice for two (each morning) was definitely appreciated even though the coupon said "one selection per person". The 18% service charge was already included in the price when the bill came to the room, which was perfectly fine with me. Like everyone else says, security at the entrance to the guest elevators was nice and definitely made me feel more comfortable and safe. Even at 3am, there was someone there making sure every party had a room key. Overall, I loved the convenience of the Palazzo and Venetian being connected. This past trip was one of the best we've had so far and we're already looking forward to our next trip to the Palazzo.
