I think service can depend on the day of the week. We flew in on a Wednesday and could not have had a better experience with SuperShuttle. As soon as we had our bags we did the online check in as we walked to the kiosk. We were immediately assigned a client number and a van number. The van showed up within 3 minutes; made one other airport stop; and we were the third hotel stop. We discussed the great experience with our driver and he stated that on Thursdays and Fridays when there are huge weekend events/conventions, with tens of thousands of people coming in, there are not enough vans to go around (even from all the companies), and service can be less than perfect. In fact, we came in on a Friday last year, same time of year, and waited over an hour (for another company's shuttle). The advantage of SuperShuttle is the technology -- check in, client number, van number, and text messages.
