  • Winking Lizards in general I think are pretty much 5 stars as far as sports bars go. They have a large and always changing selection of beers, free popcorn, cool lizards, and decent food. This location, however, kinda sucks. It's a shame since it's by far the closest one to my house. They moved from their old Independence location shortly after I moved to town, and I know I would have visited much more frequently if they'd stayed in the old spot. The problem is the parking. It's impossible. I've been here maybe 5 times since they opened in this location, at a variety of times of day and days of the week, and every single time the parking lot has been completely full. It's a huge pain because it's so overcrowded that it's difficult to get back out, and then you have to decide if it's worth taking the risk of parking at one of the nearby hotels that clearly say "parking for guests only. others will be towed" or giving up and going home. It's a double shame because they have a beautiful patio with an awesome view of downtown. Coming here stresses me out, and there isn't much worse you can say about a bar.
