  • My one star review is not for the beer or atmosphere. The one star review is for the poor business practice I witnessed during the Champagne and Saison event on Sunday 6/12/16. They advertised a collaboration with the King of Pops( a local gourmet Popsicle company) for a special drink that was available just for the event...basically a King of Pops popsicle submerged in a glass of freshly brewed saison. Sounds amazing right?! My issue: they were not using King of Pops Popsicles and were charging $14 for the drink(and $7 for the Popsicle alone). I arrived at the bar ready to order the drink on a hot 97 degree day only to notice the bartender or barback opening boxes of Outshine fruit bars in a cooler then topping them with ice. There's a big difference from a quality standpoint between KOP and the Outshine brand. I was shocked as I witnessed the Popsicles being pulled from the cooler and placed in drinks as I waited to put in my order. I'm sure its clear at this point that I did not spend the $14 on the falsely advertised product. I'm disappointed that one of my favorite local breweries in Charlotte deceive their patrons like this.
