I give this place a 3 stars because their items are hits or misses. For example, I LOVE their lavender individual dessert but I LOVE anything lavender so perhaps I am biased here. I also love their fresh juices especially the grapefruit and they also have this seasonal german offering, stollen, which is very good. It's a dense, spicy sweet loaf with dried fruits.
Their quiches, croissants and shortbread cookies are just ok and I am yet to enjoy any of their mini "cake" offerings. They are wrapped in transparent bags just like the cookies and I am not even sure they are called cakes but that is what they look, feel and taste like to me. I have tried the pistacchio, orange, plain and almond flavours and they were all very oily with the pistacchio leading the race towards cardiovascular disease. You can easily squeeze out the oil, fry omelettes with it and still have some left over to moisturize your hands after washing the dishes, no lie!
Would I recommend this place? Absolutely! The hits are worth going there for but you have to be willing to sample enough items to find out which ones tickle your fancy.
