This place is as generic as they come. There sadly are no good independent guitar stores in Charlotte, so this is the option if I find myself short a guitar cable or need strings and haven't planned sufficiently ahead to order online. As others have written here, these folks don't give a monkey's behind about customer service. That, the dingy interior, an abundance of over privileged adolescents posing as musicians, and the poor selection of quality stock take an environment that should be impossible to suck the fun out of (a music store) and make the entire trip a drag. The lowlight is the (already) washed up thirty something gothic troll at the door who scrutinizes your receipt upon departure and takes care to make you feel as if you've stolen the guitar cables for which you just paid top dollar. My suggestion is to just find a good online retailer and avoid this place whenever you can. Or if you must go, there's a long haired (relatively) older guy in the guitar dept. who at least has a personality. Try to deal with him.
