| - I signed up for Yelp just to write this review (first review ever), as I have never had an experience this bad that I wanted to make people aware of.
I was recommended to use The Perfectionists service from a dear friend who is a clean freak like me.
I recently moved back to Arizona from Kansas, and I had just bought my first home. At the time I was working two full time jobs and was extremely excited to finally have a home of my own and move in to a freshly cleaned home (having a thoroughly clean home was honestly so exciting for me!). My friend warned me that they were expensive, but I was willing to spend the money I had saved to have a nice deep cleaned home to move in to, and trusted her opinion 100%.
When the service happened, the house was 100% empty. Diane said they would deep clean the entire house, including cabinets (inside & out), floors, bathrooms & windows (at an extra charge that I agreed to pay), doors and appliances.
As you can see from the photos taken, they did not appear to clean anything thoroughly outside of the oven.
My only fault in this situation was that I didn't contact Diane immediately about the services received. The morning after I had multiple companies at my house at the same time (out of state movers, alarm, locksmith, etc) with no WiFi service to send the email with the multiple pictures I had as evidence for their incomplete service. Did I also mention I work 2 full-time jobs, so my time was very precious to coordinate all of the moving parts going on.
When I emailed Diane on the following Monday with my photo evidence and asked for my money back they declined, stating that they guarantee their work and would be happy to come back out and re-do the job. She said they clearly state this in their contract (which is true) however they don't provide you with a copy of the contract until AFTER services are rendered (in my case they left it on my kitchen counter). Their policy was never mentioned on the phone call when I set up the appointment.
After seeing the evidence of the horrible job they did, I didn't want them to come re-do their job because if they couldn't clean a home when it was 100% empty, how would they be able to do a better job with 50+ moving boxes & furniture everywhere from an out of state move. If the house was still 100% empty, I probably would have taken Diane up on her offer & I would have been there to supervise this time.
After much back & forth the owner of the company only offered a $100 refund on a total bill of $373. I find that extremely disappointing, especially since word of mouth and a review with evidence of poor performance will probably hurt their business long term by more than a $373 refund. I even said I would pay for the services for the oven only (since that seems to be the only thing that was actually deep cleaned).
I will NEVER use this company's services again, and will never recommend to any friends or co-workers.
I have written a recap of my services received & experience below.
Positives
Diane was very pleasant to speak with and fit me in at the very last minute (very much appreciated at the time)
They did a great job cleaning the oven.
Negatives
Came home to dirty mop bucket water emptied on my front entry with remnants of dirty paper towels dried in the rocks that I had to pick up
Pantry shelves were not cleaned at all. As you can see from the photo, I took a Clorox wipe to each shelf and it was completely black with my hand print.
Bathrooms were still dirty. There were long & short curly black hairs left on the shelf area of the bathtub, on the wall of the bathroom and in the sink (I have naturally straight very blonde hair)
Kitchen cabinets and drawers were still filthy and obviously had not been wiped down as promised as there was still fingerprints, dirt, crusted food, etc.
Shutters were still filthy and had not been wiped down as they still had dirt, fingerprints, etc on them.
Windows had not been cleaned as most of them had water marks and streaks on them
The drink dispenser of the refrigerator was never cleaned
There were mop streaks all over the Saltillo tile
