Gluten-free review:
When you first walk into this place you instantly melt into happiness from the sweet aroma of freshly baked pastries. They have a number of desserts on display as you walk in and soon find that like most bakeries, the vast majority of items are not gluten-free. However there are a few:
- Macarons (about 8 flavours to choose from)
- Truffles (some aren't gluten-free so be sure to ask which are)
- Pudding? Not sure if it was pudding or some sort of mousse dessert
I got three macarons: the hazelnut, macha/green tea, and raspberry lemon. They were all REALLY good and I definitely recommend them. I didn't try anything else.
Overall, great experience. The staff are friendly, the macarons are delicious and I want to go back for more. I do wish they had more gluten-free options, like cupcakes.
Note: I am gluten intolerant and don't have celiac's disease. My reactions range from mild (a few crumbs) to moderate (a full bite of gluten-filled food) depending on how much gluten I consume. I don't know if they prepare their gluten-free items in a separate area but it didn't look like they did. I did not have a reaction to the food here.
