  • The W-O-R-S-E!! Do NOT rent anything from these people!!. This particular franchise location is run by scam artists and are under investigation by the Bureau de la Protection des Consomateurs (equivalent of the Consumer Protection Agency in the US), and the US Federal Trade Agency. They basically take used cars of the worst lots in the country and in the northern US, and rent them for exhorbitant prices to unsuspecting consumers. The manager/owner is the most unprofessional person I've ever met. A real fraudster of the worst degree. We rented a car from their location in the Hilton, near Dorval airport. We were there for a funeral and needed a car that could seat six for one day travel to and from locations near the funeral services. Despite having reserved for an SUV at an estimated price of US$160+tax for one day rental, when we arrived on a Sunday, they told us they were out of cars. They could only offer a 1996, mini van, with over 100,000 miles, a foul smell emanating from the air vents, and a broken windshield. We desperately needed a car, and we were not in a position to go to another location. Of course, we did not realize all the problems until we drove the car in the rain later that day and had to turn on the defogger and the windshield wipers. The car was also filfthy! After having to stop in the rain on the highway to try to fix the windshield wiper multiple times, we called them and begged for a replacement vehicle, but they said they were all out. The first chance we got, we headed over the next day to explain the problems to the manager. After inspecting the car, he said he could take ten dollars (10) off and that our estimated final price would be over US$250!!! We were incredulous! The car was returned in the same condition we rented, with a full tank of gas, and less than 24 hours after picking it up. Apparently, he is used to ripping people off and refused to compensate us at all. We have reported this franchisee to the company's head office in Florida and they are investigating. I am also considering reporting their actions to the tax authorities in Quebec to ensure their business license is legitimate and up to date, and to the Hilton Hotel Management from which they rent their location. This is absolutely the worse place and I pray you will never have to deal with them.
