| - 4 stars for this spot as a bar/hang out spot to come with friends, but 2 stars for their desserts. The Duce is an interesting hipster/eclectic space where you can eat, drink, and also play games (ping pong, fooze ball, corn hole, hula hoop). They even have a boxing ring available on the weekends! We came in on a Thursday night at 10pm, and it wasn't very busy at that time. Their parking lot is really small, so they have mandatory valet. From what I could see, there isn't much street parking available. We already had dinner before coming, but decided to order dessert since they had cakes to choose from. We tried:
-Hot Vanilla Cake (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=BrzfsBWAmpAuXIerY9DMuw&userid=76vIFZcC7owykCBjMfGVXg, https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=uuOzYCOMHhbASGwMETqNdA&userid=76vIFZcC7owykCBjMfGVXg): Way too sweet, and the cake was really dense and not at all moist. Skip!
-S'mores Cheesecake (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=CJ4wTEKLmiY5qd5q-APXnw&userid=76vIFZcC7owykCBjMfGVXg, https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=cLAUFBbK6zX3Hu3AqfItvw&userid=76vIFZcC7owykCBjMfGVXg): Just ok. I liked the torched marshmallow on top but the s'mores flavor didn't really integrate well as a cheesecake. I wouldn't get this again.
We spent a couple of hours playing the games here. This is a giant space so it's nice that you can walk around and go to different areas. I would come back for the games and to hang out, and give their food a try, but just pass on the cakes.
