  • Over all, we like IKEA. It's well laid out, in that if you follow the arrows, you don't miss anything. Food is pretty decent too - especially for a department store. However, this time, we couldn't get our item at the self pickup, so paid & went to the pickup area. We paid at 13:28, so handed in our order by 13:30. At 14:05, I asked at the desk. Others had come & gone -- guessing they misfiled our order because according to their screen, our order was still in the "received" column. The guy said he'd talk to the warehouse. Meanwhile, more people came & went. At 14:25, went up to the counter to check again. We are finally getting our item at 14:32 after more than an hour. That's a bit ridiculous! They say that it's because there's only one driver to pick items off the high shelves in the warehouse, but considering the number of people who came & went in between, I'm guessing they somehow misplaced our order until I went back up to inquire.
