| - My TWO STARS is because, seating was ample...NOT due to the food, nor service, nor management....
AS YOU MIGHT NOTCIE, I tried this place and wrote a review last year after (Nov 2014) after I did an ONLINE search looking for a '49ers fan' place to enjoy football season.... Not only did I give this place a second chance, but to be fair I came back three weeks in a row!
FIRST! and foremost, according to Joe, the manager on duty ... this is NOT a 49ers bar/restaurant - ummm? then please remove it from the list!. Joe says the GM likes the 49ers, but Joe will decide what games (sound) is on the big screen...
1st week Nov. 2015: food was room temp., Joe (manager in charge) made accommodations for the food. Not many patrons but lots of waitstaff ... standing around chatting under the big screen... I would think that with that many employees, the individual guest attention would have been MUCH better. "49er VIP section" empty, and told its for PAY only.
2nd week Nov. 2015: asked to sit in the '49er VIP section' with a large screen... was told, you have to pay. Waited and watched while others came in and sat there.... Ordered shepard pie (barely room temp.) Again, lots of waitstaff standing around chatting with each other... continually waited for service. We pointed out the chicken bone where we had moved the chair from... our server said 'oh, that happens all the time'... um?
3rd week Nov 8. 2015: upon entering asked again about the VIP seating... The host said NO, you have to pay for that seating. Asked, Joe about sitting there and he said 'paying/reserved is only on Friday and Saturday night, YES, go ahead and sit there, I will let the hostess' know'.... he went over and corrected the hostess'. Again, lots of wait staff.... our server was pleasant. Instead of bringing Corona Light for the 2nd & 3rd beer, regular Corona's were delivered ... got that straightened out. Mosquitos were galore in this VIP seating area and we kept fighting them off, even asked if they had a spray we could use. There were only three of us in the VIP seating with large screen... asked if the sound could be turned on THIS TV or if the sound in the restaurant could be changed to the 49ers, again after reading ONLINE that this is restaurant was listed as a 49ers location... it is NOT!!! Joe, the manager adamantly told our server he is NOT putting the sound on for the 49ers... during half-time, I went to the bar where Joe was making drinks and asked, nicely, for him to help me understand.... why the 49ers sound was not and could not be played, if this restaurant is a 49ers sports bar? Still preparing drinks and walking away, barely giving me any attention, stated that the GM is a 49er fan and he Joe, is not, and that he (Joe) puts the sound on for what he thinks will be the GAME OF THE DAY... as I had already studied the patrons (less than 15 people inside) none of which were following the Bronco vs Colts game.... I pointed this out to Joe, he stated ... I am NOT changing the TVs.... very sad.... He said we could call when the games are playing to check to see what sound/game will be playing... Very very sad....
Sadly, this restaurant has potential... if the cooks could get the orders right, the waitstaff could deliver it before it is cool (and less chatting with other employees) and decide whether or not they are a 49ers bar ... I think they need BAR RESCUE ... before its' too late... and they join the ranks of other fallen bars/restaurant...
