  • We went here after all the hype we've heard around it. The service was good, everyone has the island friendly mentality which was nice and inviting to be around. We weren't impressed with the food, which took a long time to come out. I got chicken katsu and short ribs with fried rice and Mac salad. I loved my short ribs, slightly tough and overdone but so delicious and full of flavor. The chicken katsu was mediocre and not the best I've had but it wasn't terrible. Mac salad tasted more plain than usual but I finished it anyway. My boyfriend got the teriyaki chicken. I didn't get a chance to try it but he definitely voiced not liking it. I definitely would not recommend the fried rice. It did not taste anything like fried rice, which to me ALWAYS tastes the same. I couldn't even eat it. It was literally rice saturated in soy sauce. It had some pork pieces in it which were okay but we couldn't stomach the overwhelming flavor of soy sauce (and FYI we always put soy sauce on our rice anyway)... I think it is a cool place to check out, other people seem to have enjoyed the food, however we will not be returning.
