  • It's all right. Easily found street parking in front of The Old Fashioned on a Wednesday afternoon. We ordered the heart clogging fried cheese curds (Wisconsin staple) and hay stack onion fries as appetizers. We shared a jalapeño burger(super spicy, I recommend you remove a few jalapeño slices off). The fried perch and fries were ok. Actually the fish wasn't crispy and rather limp. Not a fan. Service was slow. Our waiter disappeared, when I really needed a refill of my ice tea for my super spicy jalapeño burger. He didn't come back for 15 minutes. By that time my tongue was on fire. Ugh. Conveniently located across the capital building, which is a great location. However, when you're from out of town and need a bite after a city tour, you look to Yelp to guide you. The 4+ rating really is misleading .I would give this place a solid 3 star and would have preferred honest ratings from yelpers. Popular places don't always mean good food and value.
