My Friday morning started off a little earlier that I would have liked; I was woken up by my water sensor alarm at the bottom of my hot water heater overflow pan located in my garage at 5am - as it was leaking. The hot water heater was just 16 months old so I was sure it was under warranty. I called the emergency after-hours number of the "other" other company that initially installed the hot water heater at 5:15am and asked them to have a tech call me back ASAP. By 6:30am - still no call back, so I called again. By 8:00am, still no call back. In the meantime I called my Dad and he recommended calling Kendall Plumbing to see if they could assist (he had used them before and was very happy with them). I was not sure if the warranty would be valid with Kendall since they did not originally install it, but I figured I would give it a shot since the "other" company still had not called me back and I needed to get the hot water heater replaced ASAP. I called Kendall at 8:05am and Kendall himself answered. I explained to Kendall my situation and he talked it out with me; I let him know I had several calls into a different company and was not sure what to do or who I could go with and still be covered by the hot water heater warranty. Immediately I felt comfortable with him as he did not pressure me at all to go with Kendall and was just trying to offer me assistance to get my hot water heater replaced. He made some calls for me and let me know I would be covered even if Kendall Plumbing did the work. The price quote for the labor seemed fair so I booked the appointment. He said Darren would be out with the replacement hot water heater at 11:00am. Darren showed up at my door at 11:00am sharp. He answered all my questions and had my new hot water heater installed and up and running right around 1:00pm. I just got off the phone with Kendall letting them know how pleased I was with the service I received today. This could have been a problem that may have taken all weekend to fix and they had it done in a total of less than 5 hours from the time I made the first call. I highly recommend this company - a big thank you to Kendall, Darren and Kristy for helping me and my family out today.
