Hubby and I caught a movie here recently while we were in town and killing time before being able to check into our hotel. In our neck of the woods, we have Cinepolis which I think is pretty darn nice. Galaxy falls just a bit short of that, though it is still a great way to watch a movie. We bought tix online on our drive over from lunch. You still have to pick up physical tickets from a kiosk outside but that was a quick thing once the guy in front of us got done "window shopping". The lobby is small, no frills with just the main snack bar, etc.
The recliner seating here is not paired off so you're right next to someone else. Grand scheme, not a big deal...but something about reclining/laying down inches away from a stranger is a little odd to me lol. The seat set up is pretty simple with a single table that swings out to accommodate your snacks and drinks.
We'd just finished lunch so didn't really have the belly space for snacks here but it was pretty neat that they provide a bevy of popcorn seasoning on the side. I stood and watched a girl empty half a shaker in a condiment cup. We ended up sitting next to her and of course most of the seasoning went to waste. But I digress... We did get a drink which took a bit as the snack line was super long.
My FAVORITE part of this theater is the hard line they take on mobile devices. No refunds if you get kicked out for using your mobile device during the movie which is communicated via a live person prior to lights out and multiple times on screen. I didn't see any egregious offenders but I wonder if they actually tow their line. Anyone? Anyone?
Definitely a great way to catch a movie while you're in town!
