  • I loved this place 2 years ago when we lived in CLE. When we can back to visit this week from the Bay area, I was super stoked for some champers and treats. Well after this visit- it will be a stop we miss next time we are back in town. The hipster dude behind the bar had literally no interest in helping us, zero customer service , and didn't even pretend to want to be a part of our transaction. We bought over a dozen Macarons and a glass of champagne totaling over 55.00 bucks . No biggie- we pay a lot at Chantal Guillon in SF for tasty macs, but these were not tasty. The cookie part of the shell was hard and dried out it tasted like chalk and we had a hard time differentiating between most of the flavors because they were pretty bland. Except for different colors and fillings - really hard to tell apart and some of them were downright just textured sugar tasting. A generally don't like to leave bad reviews, Id rather email the manager and let them have a chance to fit the problems, but honestly the vibe in there seems like they don't give 2 f's anymore. Bummer - at one time my fiancĂ© would drive a box of them 10 hours to visit me in Massachusetts - but if I lived in CLE- I wouldn't go again.
