| - I am such a dork for places like this. It's right up my alley.
We showed up at around a quarter til 9 and it wasn't terribly busy. We found a cute little bench by the bar. (LOVE that it was a bench instead of barstools - we could get really close and cuddly!)
I really wanted a beer (the offering looked really promising - lots of IPAs to choose from) but I figured, since this place was all sorts of wacky and quirky, I needed to participate in a drunken slushie. (I was also sold on the fact that Thursdays are half-off tequila - so I totally made a boozy lime and tequila slushie! Sweetie pie got a mango/spiced rum slushie and his was equally as good.
The slushies were SO good that we got a tiger's blood/Titos one to split. The tiger's blood isn't considered a crowd favorite, so I was skeptical, but the bartender told me it was a mix of cherry and blood orange flavors - it was dangerous too cause I couldn't taste any of the vodka.
I really enjoyed the atmosphere. It is SO quirky. It's totally divey but the funhouse theme carries throughout the entire establishment, all the way to the bathrooms. Seriously, if an establishment could make it fun to seek out a bathroom - Funhouse did this flawlessly. There aren't any mens/womens labels, there aren't even doors. Just hallways that lead to stalls and urinals. So, choose carefully!
Babe thought that maybe this was a place to go with a group next time - and I totally get that. It's fun and ruckus in a way that really would work for a large group of friends that just want to cut up. But, I really enjoyed the evening with him; perhaps I was visually stimulated enough that to have to interact with a crew of friends may have been overwhelming. Just a theory.
On top of all of that - if you get too boozy, they have fun themed snacks like cotton candy, soft pretzels, corndogs, and FREE popcorn.
Totally want to keep this place my little secret, but I invite you to check it out!
