  • I was in Montreal on vacation for a few days, where I stumbled across Mohawk. It piqued my interest, as I hadn't had a haircut of any kind in too many months, and my long hair was getting difficult to manage. Upon walking in, I was warmly greeted by the staff--in English, as I don't speak French--and they told me there was a cancellation and they could seat me within 10 minutes. Within 5, I had met my barber, Luis, and was seated in his chair. I told Luis I wanted a very different look, and encouraged him to do what he thought would work best, leaving the details up to him. He went to work with an array of clippers, razors, and scissors with patience, precision and professionalism. I love watching highly skilled people do their work, and Luis was no exception. I felt I was in good hands. In about half an hour, Luis was finished. Not only is he a skilled barber, but he's a true artisan as well. He had given me a fantastic, modern haircut that I never would have thought to ask for myself! Thank you Mohawk for making me feel welcome and for the bold new look! I'll definitely be back in next time I'm in Montreal.
