| - Having been raised in CA and going to medical school in FL, I am experiencing my first real winter in Cleveland, OH this January. Luckily, the weather's been relatively "warm" and snow didn't fall to stay on the ground.
Being used to studying at cafes, I was looking for coffee shops to eat, work/study. Currently renting a room via Airbnb in Cleveland Heights, I came across Stone Oven Bakery Cafe few blocks away, and decided to check it out.
Since it was dinner time, I decided to get the half sandwich + half soup deal for about $10-11 bucks. I got the roasted veggie sandwich on multigrain (5 stars) with coconut ginger carrot soup (5 stars). This SOUP THOUGH. nom nom nom. I wasn't sure what to expect but this was an exceptional soup and I'd be glad to get it again (not to mention it's vegan/GF friendly).
I heard great things about the baked goods but i did not get any. As I filled my stomach up for dinner, I was able to focus on my work and study for a few hours before it closed at 8pm on a friday night.
There is a metered parking lot behind the store. This is a 24 hour meter parking and each quarter will give you 30minutes. I ended up parking on one of the streets leading into the parking lot because the meter hours were from 9am-6pm. Since I got there at 530pm, I only needed to put in a quarter and stay as long as I liked.
Great place with ample space and to eat, study, work with free WIFI. Not sure if there were outlets as I didn't need to use an outlet while I was there.
