| - I went to Moon Valley to landscape a new home of mine. I spent about $3800 on about 25 plants and trees, mostly because I needed mature plants. Their selection is truly amazing and they have some really gorgeous stuff in the nursery. It's easy to have way too much fun roaming their huge healthy trees and imagining a lovely landscape.
Though probably stupid on my end, I scheduled them to plant at a time when I knew I'd be out of the country for a few months. I told them the situation and they said it'd get done, and in the meanwhile I relied on the kindness of my contractors to water the plants until they were planted and irrigated. I called on the day of the plant scheduling to ask when they'd be there, only to find out they forgot to put me on the schedule. Something about transferring the job to a closer site and it fell through somehow. Nooo! I was not at all a pleasant customer to deal with when this happened. I didn't accept much in the way of compromise and insisted they fix this ASAP. Like, I was every company's worst nightmare of a customer. Frankie and Garrett were both cool and composed while listening to my sheer frustration with the company. Props to them for giving great customer service to people they'd sooner prefer to drop altogether--I know this company has huge contracts and doesn't necessarily have to care about the individual buyer like me.
In any business, mistakes like these will happen. Where these guys get a good review is how they handled it. When I called back in an hour, they made it work. They pushed their team to work longer and harder to accommodate my order and plant the day they said it'd be done. Bruce, the guy who I understand manages the coordination of trucks, really pulled through.
I'll definitely continue going here, especially for mature trees. I also trust them to manage the order well, and if they mess up, that they'll work hard to make it right! Thanks so much, guys. Looking forward to coming back!
